Our Story of Faith, Hope, and Transformation

Our Genesis

In the heart of Ethiopia, amidst its rich history and diverse cultures, a vision was born from the collective passion of leaders from various denominations and local churches. They observed a profound need for a ministry that not only preached the gospel but also empowered the local church to extend its reach into the community effectively. This observation led to the birth of REACH Ethiopia in 2021, evolving from the foundational efforts of The True Face of Church Ministry started in 2009. Our journey is one of unity, collaboration, and divine inspiration, aimed at addressing the leadership crisis within churches and Christian organizations, and fostering a genuine disciple-making movement.

Our Vision and Mission

Vision: To see a vibrant, healthy church community flourish across Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa, where disciples are multiplied, servant leaders are developed, and communities are transformed through the gospel.

Mission: To empower the Church in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa to deliver the life-changing message of the gospel through holistic ministry, focusing on spiritual, physical, social, and economic needs. Our mission is built upon four pillars: Sports Ministry, Reaching the Unreached, Disciple Making Movement, and Servant Leader Development.

Our Four Pillars

Our ministry is grounded in four key pillars that guide our work and mission:

Reaching the Unreached

We are committed to ensuring the gospel is accessible to everyone, focusing on those marginalized or overlooked by traditional outreach efforts.

2

Servant Leader’s Development

We emphasize leadership development, nurturing leaders who embody Christ-like character and humility, and are equipped to serve their communities effectively.

Sports Ministry

Recognizing the unique power of sports to connect and engage, we use it as a platform for evangelism, leadership development, and community building.

3

Disciple Making Movement

At the heart of our mission is the desire to foster personal transformation and spiritual growth through intentional discipleship, creating a movement that multiplies disciples.

Our Leadership

REACH Ethiopia is led by a dedicated team with a wealth of experience in church ministry, particularly in areas of leadership training and disciple-making movements. Our leadership team and advisory board comprise individuals passionate about our vision and committed to guiding our ministry towards achieving its goals. Their collective experience and dedication form the backbone of our ministry, inspiring and driving us forward.

Our Approach

Our approach is intentional, contextual, reproducible, spiritual, and relational. We employ practical methods that resonate with the communities we serve, aiming for sustainable impact that transcends generations. Through our holistic ministry, we strive to see leaders with big hearts, transformed from the inside out, impacting their generation through the influence of being true disciples of Jesus Christ.

Partnerships and Collaborations

At the core of our ministry is the belief in the power of partnership and collaboration. We work closely with churches, organizations, and individuals, both locally and internationally, to broaden our impact. These partnerships are built on mutual respect, trust, and a shared vision for transforming lives and communities in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa.
